TRANS-KO'OLAU H3 RUN
On May 11th 1997, the U.S. Post Office issued
a special cancel to commemorate the Trans-Ko'olau Run on the H3 Freeway.
The H3 Freeway runs 16 miles from the Halawa section of Honolulu across
the Ko'olau Mountains to Kane'ohe Bay. It had been completed but was not
yet open to vehicular traffic when the run took place.
